Impatience in the Pursuit of Art

Time passes,

and, us artists dream of another creation.

Time passes,

and, we build,

eager to numb ourselves from the future's grip.

Life changes,

and, we feel strange when we can't write or sing

with the same feelings.

Overthinking and impatient,

we lose sight of those around us, and of that which is

always within us.

How can we create wonderful dreams this way?
